5 Aces Is Always Better Than 1 King

Well here we go. NBA’s Golden Child vs. the team everyone loves to hate. With the NBA’s most vocal player who everyone loves to criticize. (Sheeeeeed!) But lets be real for a minute. The Pistons are better then the Cavs. Period. Let me expain. The Cavs are a GOOD TEAM. The Pistons are GREAT TEAM. Does that mean Detroit will roll the Cavs? Probally not. You see there is to much time and money invested in the Cavs. (uhh I mean LeBron). The Sprite pushing clean cut Poster boy IS THE CAVS TEAM. LeBron is a great player, but the surronding cast isn’t. But I know somewhere in this world David Stern is on his knees praying for LeBron, (I mean the Cavs) to make the NBA Finals.

This Series will probally go 7 games, but I believe Detroit could take it in 5. My theory is this……If this game was on the playground, and Cleveland said “o.k., Chauncy has to sit this series out,” Detroit would be in trouble, but could still hang with the Cavs. If Detroit said “o.k. LeBron has to sit this series out,” This series would be over in 4 games. This is not a shot against LeBron, the guy is awesome. But Like it or not he IS THE MAN. And the Cavs can only go as far as he can take them. The hunger is back in Detroit and with Chris Webber in the middle instead of Big Ben, the Pistons are better this year then they were last.  Pistons in 5.

Weekly Tigers Report 4/29 – 5/6

May 6, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Well it couldn’t  have been a better week for Tigers fans. 7 games, 7 wins! Also closing the 3 game gap between us and the Indians to move into a first place tie with the Tribe.  Things are starting to look up for some of the early slumping Tigers. Gary Sheffield hit 3 HR’s this week and raised his avg. from .119 to .227. (Not to mention Sheff is 3rd in the A.L. in runs scored with 24) Not a bad week! Brandon Inge is also shaking off his early season funk. And Magglio Ordonez continues to kill the baseball!  Slugging Pct. near .700, and 28 RBI’s, Maggs is on a pace to have the best year of his carrer. The little bit of bad news is Joel Zumaya hasn’t looked like his ol self and now maybe we know why. Zumaya was placed on the 15-day DL today when he heard “someting pop” in his middle finger near the knuckle. Hopefully he will make a quick recovery.

Pistons Send Early Message

I’m so glad the Pistons are playing the Bulls. Detroit vs. Chicago. Awesome! Great memories of these two cities battling it out. The Bad Boys vs. the Jordan led Bulls. Tigers vs. Sox always is a battle. And all through the 80s and 90s the Wings and Blackhawks was always a blood bath! It was great! No offense David Stern (who you know was dying when the Heat got smashed in 4 by the Bulls, now the East moves on without Wade or Shaq wahhhhhhh!!) Detroit and Chicago are far better sports towns than Miami. Whoever wins this series I hope wins the NBA Title. I know they wouldn’t be the favorite vs. powers like Dallas or the Spurs or Suns. Wait…..Dallas is …..gone? Oh yeah, the team everyone was handing the trophy to forgot they had to beat Golden State. Now it’s the Spurs or Suns. Well one of those Favorites will be gone in a week because they are going head to head in round 2. I’m pullin for my Pistons but if they do lose, I hope the Bulls win it all!
